MTTA History

Doug Landon started MTTA in 2005 after being diagnosed with testicular cancer. The show debuted in St. Louis, MO (hence the name) and has been going strong ever since. MTTA has donated to St. Louis Childrens, American Cancer Society, OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center and St. Judes and has since raised over $800,000 for cancer research.

In 2021 MTTA moved to Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, TX and partnered with Cook Children’s Hospital. Since then, MTTA has donated $80,000 to Cooks, as well as supporting the American Quarter Horse Assoc. (AQHA) and the National Snaffle Bit Assoc. (NSBA) crisis funds.

With your support we hope to continue to provide funds to help these wonderful charities.

Goal One

Our first goal for March to the Arch is to raise awareness and money for cancer research for our local partner Cook Children’s Hospital. As said on the Cook Children’s website, “Knowing that every child’s life is sacred, it is the Promise of Cook Children’s to improve the health of every child through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury.” We hope to help Cook’s keep this promise.

Goal Two

Our second goal for March to the Arch is to provide a unique and fun environment for our equestrian donors. Not only is this environment not possible without all involved, from our exhibitors to sponsors, we want to give back to them and hope they walk away from March to the Arch with grateful hearts and a little more knowledge on how they help us achieve our goals.

Goal Three

Our third goal for March to the Arch is to bring both of our passions together. Our equine community and our partner hospital to achieve cancer research awareness while incorporating the therapeutic qualities of horses. We hope to achieve together what we know we couldn’t do alone.
